An officer-involved shooting took place overnight near Mill Avenue and Rio Salado Parkway, Tempe police stated early Friday morning.

No officers were injured, and the suspect is in custody, according to the Tempe Police Department’s X account.

He was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said, adding there is no threat to the community.
