Tempe Community Action Agency will host Nourishing Generations: A Breakfast in Support of Seniors, a public community gathering that will raise necessary funds for the nonprofit organization’s programs and services oriented towards older adults on Friday, Sept. 25 at 8 a.m.

The breakfast, which is in its fifth year, will celebrate and educate attendees of all ages about TCAA’s extensive outreach and resources for seniors, a press release explained.

Programming includes TCAA’s Meal on Wheels and Senior Center lunch programming in Scottsdale and Tempe, as well as supportive services and Community Health Worker assistance for healthy, safe aging in place.

TCAA CEO Deborah Arteaga said in the release that the nonprofit sponsors, donors and volunteers are the foundation for the group’s ability to continue connecting and providing people with necessary services.

“Our annual senior breakfast is a wonderful opportunity for community-oriented Valley residents to gather, socialize and uplift older adults in the East Valley,” Arteaga said.

Nourishing Generations: A Breakfast in Support of Seniors will be held at Granite Reef Senior Center, located at 1700 N. Granite Reef Road in Scottsdale.

AARP Arizona State Director Dana Kennedy will serve as keynote speaker discussing pertinent topics affecting Arizona’s older adult communities, such as how the Valley’s housing market affects the age group’s ability to secure and maintain safe, affordable housing.

Breakfast offerings will be provided by Crêpe Bar and Brick Road Coffee.

TCAA is currently accepting both donations from the public and sponsors to support the breakfast, with donations being accepted both online via the event registration link, and in-person during the fundraiser itself.

All tier and recognition information for interested sponsors can be found here.

TCAA’s breakfast gathering is free to attend, with opportunities for guests to register and reserve tables as an individual, couple, group of four or group of eight, the release stated. Table reservations for attendees can be booked at the event page here.
