Tempe celebrates Health and Human Services Day March 16

Celebrate Tempe Health and Human Services Day on Saturday, March 16, with over 50 resource booths, a Kid Fun Zone, live music and food, giveaways and more.

The Tempe community of all ages is invited to this free event  — running from 9 a.m. to noon  — to connect with city and community resources, find volunteer opportunities and have fun, according to a press release.

It will take place at the Tempe Community Complex, 3500 S. Rural Rd., located in the main parking lot under the solar panels.

Care Fair Tempe, sponsored by Salt River Project, features more than 50 local nonprofits, with providers such as Higher Octave Healing, TCH and Tempe Community Action Agency.

The Tempe Health and Human Services pop-up spotlights city programs and services that address a wide range of needs, such as housing, homeless solutions, crisis care, preschool, programs for older adults, veteran services and more.

The Kid Fun Zone will offer activities and games, plus a free balloon artist.

The Health and Human Services Day and Care Fair provides an easy way for Tempe residents to find the services they may need and get their questions answered on the spot for free, the release stated.
