- 4-6 p.m.
- Escalante Multi-Generational Center, Youth Program Room, 2150 E. Orange St.
Originally scheduled for April 12, the city of Tempe will celebrate the completion of a brand-new mural at the Escalante Multi-Generational Center on April 30.
This new mural brings a rich, vibrant scene into the center's Youth Room, a hub for activity and recreation, according to a city release.
Mix and mingle with the community members and meet muralist Ignacio Garcia, who crafted the mural based on ideas from the youth who regularly use the space, the release stated. Garcia is well known throughout the Southwest for his 3D chalk street art commissions, large photo-realistic murals and modern visual art collections of original works.
