The city of Surprise announced the Community Outreach Program is now accepting applications for grant funding.

The purpose of the program is to provide funding assistance to organizations within the city of Surprise for programs, events and activities that enhance the overall lifestyle of the community.

This City Council-led initiative was created to help support the community organizations working to enhance the quality of life for Surprise residents through programming and events.

To be considered, applicants must be a 501(c)3 organization or partner with a 501(c)3 verified agency. The maximum award per applicant is $10,000. The awarded funds will be distributed by reimbursement through an invoice process.

Organizations interested in the program can find the application, complete program details and eligibility requirements at surpriseaz.gov/CommunityOutreachProgram.

Applications will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Friday, May 3, and should be submitted electronically using the city of Surprise Participant Portal at https://portal.neighborlysoftware.com/surpriseaz/Participant.

A pre-application meeting that will include information about the program and the application process will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4, in the City Hall Community Room, 16000 N. Civic Center Plaza. Applicants are strongly encouraged to attend this meeting.
