Calls out panhandler for scamming

Just an FYI for those near the Waddell and the Loop 303 Walmart shopping plaza: I just saw a bearded guy with a man bun holding a sign that says “OUT OF GAS” get dropped off by a black Cadillac Escalade. It seems a little suspicious. I doubt he’s out of gas when he got dropped off by his buddies in an Escalade. — Kimberly Gleason

Beware!

There’s all over Surprise who hold signs on the daily who aren’t homeless or out of gas, etc. Especially the ones always at Sam’s club. — Allie Valenzuela

I hate that so many people are always trying to scam others. If we stop giving, they’ll have to go get real jobs. It’s sad, they ruin it for anyone who might really need help. — Marsha Haskell

He might have gotten a ride ... I might have given him a little. — Robin Day

Book him?

Did you call the police to have him checked out? — Barbara Kamm

I’ve seen him at Litchfield and Waddell. Panhandling isn’t illegal unless they are in the roadway. Why waste police resources? There’s also a group of women that do it. Offer to fill his tank and see how he reacts … lol. — Stacey Auck Chipman
