Art forms at Ground Floor range from acrylics to Encaustics

Ground Floor Artists, 13343 W. Foxfire Drive Suite 3, classes at the end of this month include:

• Friday Night Art Madness - Paint a Bird’s Nest from 6 to 8 p.m. April 23. Learn to paint a bird’s nest in acrylics onto a pre-decopaged 9-by-12 canvas with old book pages.
Cost for this event for the whole family is $20 including all supplies.

• Painting with Encaustics, taught by Cynthia Dunn-Selph is from noon to 4 p.m. April 24. Cost is $115 and includes all supplies. Encaustic in Latin means “to burn in” and is the process of painting with beeswax, with and without pigment, that is melted and fused to a hard surface. Beginners are welcome and the class will complete several sample pieces and a finished 10-by-10 piece.
Class size is limited so pre-registration is required.
