Sun City West resident awarded by Catholic Daughters

Rosemary Dougherty received the Sister Faustina Award, an award for acquiring the most members nationally for Catholic Daughters, at the Catholic Daughters National Convention in New Orleans last month.

This award was presented to Dougherty at the monthly Catholic Daughters meeting Sept. 18 before her whole Court #2278, Sun City West.

Dougherty has been in Catholic Daughters for 50 years, serving four years as vice regent and four years as regent of her court.

The Our Lady of Lourdes Court hosts several events throughout the year, including a rummage sale, spaghetti dinner, Christmas cookie walk, shred-a-thon and fashion show. Meetings are 9:30 a.m. the third Wednesday of each month in Madonna Hall of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 19002 N. 128th Ave.
