The Arizona Fire & Medical Authority Honor Guard presented the colors and held a traditional bell ringing ceremony to remember those firefighters lost that day. A memorial wreath was also placed at the base of the flag pole. The Sun City West American Legion, Mary Ellen Piotrowski Post 94 Honor Guard provided a traditional military-style ceremonial rifle volley, followed by Post Commander Jack Coyly playing “Taps by a Bugler.”

Following the presentation of colors by the Arizona Fire and Medical Authority Honor Guard, the traditional bell ringing ceremony honoring fallen firefighters took place.
