Sun City Ukulele Club president attends overseas festival

Sun City Ukulele Club President Trudy Bryson had the privilege of attending the three-day Ukulele Festival of Great Britain this past July.

More than 400 participants attended 25 performances and participated in workshops taught by renowned tutors. James Hill, a classical trained musician from Canada, and Victoria Vox, who performed in Sun City last year, were two of the instructors.

Bryson learned new skills from James Hill and, after returning to Sun City, organized an August skills workshop for the Ukulele Club called “Singing the Strings.”

The Sun City Ukulele Club meets all year every Thursday at the Fairway Music Room (unless preempted by holidays or special events) and is open to RCSC members. No previous skills needed.
