Sun City Ukulele Club hosts orientation session

Posted

The Sun City Ukulele Club recently held the first of the two planned orientations where potential club members could learn about the club’s activities, practice a few ukulele chords and sing some songs. Several participants joined the Ukulele Club on the spot.

The next orientation session is 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, in the Fairway Music Room. Ukuleles will be lent for the orientation or can be borrowed from the Fairway or Bell library. Any RCSC cardholder may join. No experience is necessary.

The club has more than 140 members whose skills range from novice to advanced. Free lessons are offered starting Nov. 7 at multiple skill levels; players advance at their own pace.

Everyone is welcome to participate in any or all activities, from free lessons, weekly jams, performances, open mic parties and a spin-off acoustic group.

Visit scukes.org or contact club president Trudy Bryson at 480-276-3780 or trudybryson@cox.net for more information.
