Regent Laura Linton’s Leadership Team from the Estrella Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution recently met at Betty’s Roost to plan for the chapter’s upcoming meetings and activities that begin with hosting the Constitution Day Luncheon Sept. 21 at the Sun City Country Club.
Several officers and committee chairs are snowbirds and missed the meeting. Linton said increasing chapter membership will be a central focus during her administration. She also shared her Regent’s Project, “Service Dog Training for Veterans.” Vice Regent Deborah Twardosz reviewed the programs and fundraisers for the upcoming chapter year.
This year it is Estrella Chapter’s turn in the rotation to host the Constitution Day luncheon; Estrella Chapter, NSDAR, Saguaro Chapter SAR, and Aqua Fria Chapter, NSDAR, alternate hosting this annual event. The deadline for reservations is Sept. 13.
