The Rhythm Ramblers, Sun City’s original big band, will continue its First Tuesday concert and dance series March 5 in the Sundial Center auditorium, 14801 N. 103rd Ave. Doors open at 2 p.m. and music is 2:30-4:30 p.m.

The title of the performance is “As Seen on TV.” Big band arrangements of iconic television themes will be played, along with waltzes, foxtrots and a new tango. Jane Higgs will lend her voice to several numbers. As always, the music is suitable for dancing or listening.

Members of the Rhythm Ramblers club get in free. Recreation Centers of Sun City cardholders may join the club for $10 and receive free admission to scheduled dances through December or pay a single-dance admission of $5. Escorted guests pay $7. Drinks and snacks may be brought in; cups and ice are provided.

Reservations are recommended for parties of four or more. Call Lynn Altherr at 602-909-7586 to reserve a table.

The Rhythm Ramblers is an 18-piece big band with a female vocalist. Started by Del Webb in 1963 to help welcome newcomers to Sun City, the Rhythm Ramblers became RCSC’s first chartered club in 1968.
