EVENT: “Women Who Changed the World” is the topic of a celebration of Women’s History Month sponsored by the Sun Cities/West Valley Chapter for Women. It is open to the public.Sherry Koopot, a Phoenix Art Museum docent, will present a slide show of paintings, photos and sculptures depicting women who made an impact over a span of millennia. The event begins at 2 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 17540 Avenue of the Arts in Surprise. Cost is $15 and proceeds go to scholarships and other programs benefiting women.

FESTIVAL: The Sunday in the Park Food Truck Festival runs 4-8 p.m. at 8-Acres Park, 15960 N. Bullard Ave., and every second Sunday of the month through May. The city has partnered with State 48 Brewery for a free family-fun event featuring food trucks, live bands and a beer tent. Bring lawn chairs, blankets and dancing shoes.
