Fatal collision

A 15-year-old boy was pronounced dead after colliding with a vehicle while riding his skateboard, Glendale police said. The incident happened around 11:45 p.m. Sunday near 83rd and Oregon avenues, north of Camelback Road.

SLOW DOWN

People are in too much in a rush. That kid would of been fine if that guy was more aware of his speed and surroundings. Rest in peace. — Erica Reyes

Fighting for equity

Residents of the 1,650-home Corte Bella development, located just south of Loop 303 and just north of Sun City West, claim they must pay a portion of their property taxes to Peoria Unified School District while nearby retirement communities Sun City and Sun City West are exempt from some school taxes within the secondary property tax category.

ILLOGICAL?

About half of SCW properties pay school tax as well. I’ve never understood the logic. — Jmi Green
