Vitez: Voters need to make choice on immigration

Posted

On June 1, 1892, Ellis Island began the task of screening European emigrants to determine if they should be allowed to enter America.

The screening consisted of checking their physical and mental health. They were also checked to see if they had any criminal background. They had to prove that they had a sponsor who would be responsible for their financial well being. Two percent failed the screening process and were deported.

Ellis Island did this for 60 years. During this period over 12 million legal immigrants entered America. There were no illegal immigrants.

According to the Center for Immigration Studies, the number of migrants (illegal emigrants) in the United States is at a record 51.4 million, up by 6.4 million people since President Joe Biden took office. This is larger than the individual populations of 33 states.

The Congressional Budget Office report reports that Biden is releasing nearly 200,000 illegal emigrants every month through its catch and release network at its southern border. These are mainly military-age males.

This costs American taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars annually. It’s hard to comprehend exactly what that much money really means. So I provide the following examples below so you can get a better understanding on exactly how big that number is.

Each billion dollar contains nine zeros. A hundred billion dollars contains 1 zeros. Each dollar bill weighs approximately 1 gram. A hundred billion single dollar bills weigh 220,462,442.02 pounds.

The Biden administration turns a blind eye to these fiscal strains, neglecting the toll on our economy. Illegal immigrants costs each household $1,000 a year adding up to $120 billion a year. Newsweek says the true cost may be even higher, possibly reaching $150 billion annually.

If current trends continue and Biden is re-elected, the foreign born (illegal emigrant) population will reach nearly 60 million, 17.5 percent of the U.S. population at the end of his second term.

The Biden administration looks at each illegal emigrant as a future voting Democrat.

Trump stated that on day one after being reelected he will begin deporting all illegal emigrants.

On Nov. 5, 2024, you will have the opportunity to address this issue when voting for the next president.

If you like wasting over hundreds of billions of dollars yearly, vote for Biden.

If not, vote for Trump, who will resolve this problem by deporting all illegal emigrants.
