Posted
Every 10 years after a new Census is completed providing updated population data, Pinal County is required to revise supervisor districts to ensure populations between the five districts remain substantially equal.
As part of this redistricting process, voter precincts and justice precincts are also updated.
Throughout February, community meetings will be held in each supervisor district for the public to provide input on supervisor and justice precincts, with one in Apache Junction Wednesday. It is 3:30-4:30 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Apache Junction Performing Arts Center on the campus of Apache Junction High School, 2525 S. Ironwood Drive.
In early March, the Pinal County Board of Supervisors is to meet to review and approve new supervisor districts and justice precincts, being guided by the redistricting principles and while considering public input.
Other redistricting community meetings are:
6-7 p.m. Feb. 7 at the Pinal County Complex in the city of Maricopa.
10-11 a.m. Feb. 10 at the Arizona City Firehouse.
6-7 p.m. Feb. 15 in the 1891 Courthouse in Florence.
3-4 p.m. Feb. 16 at the MountainView Clubhouse in SaddleBrooke.
6-7 p.m. Feb. 17 at the San Manuel Community Center
6-7 p.m. Feb. 22 in the Pinal County Complex in San Tan Valley
