Is it possible to add batteries to the existing solar panels in our recreation centers parking lots? The objective, in the event of an extended power outage, is to have enough power to run the air conditioners for a small section of each of the rec centers to create cooling center safe areas.
Each center would have the ability to save lives, especially considering what the consequences of a prolonged power outage in the summer would likely be on our senior population.
Our lives, health, and property values, in my opinion, are vulnerable without an easily accessible cooling center.
One of the advantages of being older is being wiser, and that equates to being prepared.
