Police search for suspect in deadly Maryvale shooting

A 62-year-old man was shot and killed this week, and Phoenix police said the person who committed the crime is on the loose.
Authorities responded about 9:55 a.m. July 24 to a shooting near 48th Avenue and Holly Street where they found Jose Perez Olvera with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Phoenix Fire Department personnel.
Officers spoke with several witnesses and learned that the “known adult male suspect” left prior to the arrival of law enforcement.
