New theater company expands in West Valley

With a successful first season at Ventana Lakes Yacht Club, 20015 N. 108th Ave., Stage Left Productions is expanding to an additional venue, Paradise RV Resort Ballroom, 10950 W. Union Hills Drive, and introducing Stage Left Productions, Jr.

Two youth programs will be performed there: “The Mad Tea Party” May 18–20 and “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” July 19–22 as well as “Steel Magnolias” Aug. 23-26 and “Boeing Boeing” Sept. 27–30.

Stage Left Productions will continue its 2017 season at Ventana Lakes Yacht Club with “The Crazy Quilt Club” Oct. 20-22 and “Sorry, Wrong Chimney” Dec. 15-17.

Originally from Montana, Cody earned his BFA in Directing from Nebraska Wesleyan University. Past Directing credits include Last of the Red Hot Lovers, Fruitcakes, The Importance of Being Earnest, The Odd Couple: Female Version, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Exit Laughing, Brighton Beach Memoirs, How The Grinch Stole Christmas (2016 ariZoni Directing Nomination), Mom’s Gift, Alice in Wonderland (2016 ariZoni Directing Nomination), Treasure Island, Lost In Yonkers and many more. Even though directing is Cody’s main theatre passion, he has also dabbled in acting, set, and costume design. Cody was also nominated for a Zoni for his Costume Design of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Cody is very happy with the progress that Stage Left has done, and is excited to see what the future holds!
