The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Center Phoenix invites residents to Kroc Fest 2023 this weekend.

The free event goes from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, at the Kroc Center, 1375 E. Broadway Road in Phoenix.

The family-friendly festival features a variety of games, candy and treats, food trucks, inflatable bounce houses, arts and crafts, a community vendor village, and even an animal petting zoo.

A costume contest starts at noon with four categories: newborn to age 6, ages 7-11, ages 12-17, and a family category. No registration is necessary; contestants simply need to be near the event stage at noon.

The South Mountain Police Precinct will bring patrol vehicles, an armored vehicle and a fire truck. Officers will hand out candy and small toys.
