Gilbert Police arrest three in Valley vehicle burglaries case

Gilbert Police have arrested three people in connection with a series of recent Valleywide vehicle  burglaries.

Police said they arrested 18-year-old Elijah Saenz of San Tan Valley on Oct. 8 and booked him into the custody of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office on one count of second-degree burglary, 15 counts of third-degree burglary, three counts of criminal damage, three counts of misconduct involving weapons and one count of credit-card theft.

Additionally, two 17-year-old males from Mesa were arrested and booked on charges of minors in possession of a firearm, police said.

Members of Gilbert PD’s Special Assignment Unit, Street Crimes Unit, Property Crimes Unit and Tempe PD’s ACTION Team arrested the three individuals. At the time of the arrests, numerous firearms were recovered along with stolen property, poljce said.

The investigation is still ongoing and involves seven different Valley agencies, according to Gilbert Police.
