7 classic cars going across the block in Glendale auction

1955 Packard Caribbean convertible is ‘star’ of the auction

A pristine classic car collection from Sedona will go up for auction in Glendale this month.

EJ’s Auction & Appraisal, at 5880 W. Bell Road, will host the online auction starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 29. Bidding is open now.

Brad Halverson, EJ’s Appraiser and Acquisition Specialist, said a 1955 Packard Caribbean Convertible is the “star” of seven classic cars in the auction.

“The 1955 Packard Caribbean Convertible is considered the last luxury car the brand ever produced, and they only made 500 of them,” Halverson shared in a press release. “This is a white convertible with pink and dark gray trim and a clean interior."

All the cars were kept in a temperature-controlled garage. The other cars being auctioned include a 1969 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia, a 1950 Studebaker Starlight, 1984 Rolls-Royce Silver Spur, 1985 Tasmin TVR 280i, 1975 Pontiac Grand Ville Convertible, and a 1977 Cadillac Eldorado.

EJ’s Auction & Appraisal is open for preview 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and Saturday morning at 9 a.m. prior to each weekly auction. Interested bidders can view the classic cars in person at the auction house or request to see condition reports.

The seven classic cars are being auctioned along with EJ’s regular estate auctions, which take place Saturday mornings. Each week, bidders can find a variety of fine art, antiques, jewelry and other collectibles. Because some consignors liquidate full estates, EJ’s often auctions near-new, vintage and classic cars, motorcycles, boats, and other vehicles.
