Posted

The Tomaso Maggiore Culinary Arts Foundation is proud to introduce its inaugural legacy gala, with the mission to provide cultural immersion and educational opportunities for aspiring chefs in Arizona.

The gala, which will celebrate and honor Chef Tomaso Maggiore’s passion for cultural and culinary heritage, is set to take place at The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa, 6902 E Greenway Pkwy, Scottsdale, AZ 85254, according to a press release.

The event will be held from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, October 12.
Tickets are $500 each. Sponsorship opportunities are also available. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.

The inaugural event will raise funds to provide financial support for a variety of culinary education programs, international immersion programs and student scholarships. Over the past two years, while the organization was being developed, the foundation has been able to provide six $1,500 awards to high school students in the careers through culinary arts program, two full-year scholarships to students in the culinary program at NAU, and two additional scholarships to be awarded to NAU students by June 2024, totaling $49,000 in awards. The funds raised have been through multiple events across The Maggiore Group concepts, including passport wine dinners, cocktail club events, and other fundraising efforts.

“With our company core values of passion, innovation, and impact, The Maggiore Family and The Maggiore Group created the foundation because we are committed to helping the next generation of chefs have access to higher education,” Joey Maggiore, chef and co-founder of The Maggiore Group, said in the release. “Through inclusive learning opportunities and pathways to careers, we can ensure success while supporting students pursuing their passion for the culinary arts.”

In addition to celebrating the Valley’s culinary talent and aspiring young chefs, the legacy gala will also offer opportunities for businesses and individuals to support the community through a variety of sponsorships. Sponsorship opportunities range from event program inclusion, print and video advertising to recognition as presenting sponsor. The foundation will also be accepting donations for the live and silent auctions.
