Scottsdale unified School District Superintendent Dr. Scott Menzel will be getting about a third of his performance pay bonus this year. The district governing board voted 3-1 during it’s August 6 meeting to give Menzel $15,768 of his performance pay. He was eligible for up to $43,200, but some of his performance goals were only partially met. Board president Dr. Libby Hart-Wells, vice president Zach Lindsay and board member Julie Cieniaswski voted to give Menzel the bump in pay. Board member Amy Carney voted against the move and board member Carine Werner abstained.
