Scottsdale Schools note 12 COVID cases to date

Correction: A former version of this story incorrectly stated the percentage of populous with COVID-19 at Anasazi Elementary. Three cases out of a population of 485 is 0.62%.
Less than a week after Scottsdale public schools opened on Aug. 4, there are 12 COVID-19 cases reported.
As of Aug. 5, the Scottsdale Unified School District has shared its reported total confirmed numbers and percentages of in-person, active COVID-19 cases on site involving its students and staff, according to information on the district’s dashboard.
Anasazi Elementary reported three confirmed active cases out of 485 students and staff on site, which makes up 0.62% of the populous;
Arcadia High School reported one confirmed active case out of 1844 students and staff on site, which makes up 0.05% of the populous;
Copper Ridge (K-8) reported one confirmed active case out of 699 students and staff on site, which makes up 0.14% of the populous;
Hopi Elementary reported four confirmed active cases out of 801 students and staff on site, which makes up 0.5% of the populous;
Saguaro High School reported one confirmed active case out of 1627 students and staff on site, which makes up 0.06% of the populous;
Sequoya Elementary reported two confirmed active cases out of 643 students and staff on site, which makes up 0.31% of the populous.
