Power outage reported after man crashes into power line pole in Scottsdale

Connor C. Coolman, of Phoenix, was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence, criminal damage and possession of drug paraphernalia after crashing into a power line pole near 6700 E. Thomas Road shortly after 4 a.m. Friday. No injuries have been reported, according to Scottsdale Police.

The pole was damaged and lines were downed, causing a power outage to 41 homes in the area, according to an SRP spokesperson. Power is scheduled to be restored around 1:50 p.m.
