One Step Beyond, Inc.—a leading provider of comprehensive programming and services for adults with intellectual disabilities—invites the Valley to celebrate the organization’s journey and experience the future at the 2024 Help Us Grow Gala.

The event is from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Oct. 12 at OnJackson, 245 E Jackson St., in Phoenix.

Simone Cuccurullo, anchor of Arizona’s Family Good Morning Arizona, will emcee the 2024 HUG Gala, which will raise funds to support the organization’s programs and services that ensure that people with intellectual disabilities in the Valley are fully included in all areas of life.

“Whether One Step Beyond individuals are securing meaningful employment through OSBI job programs or taking the steps to enroll in college and eventually graduate through OSBI’s life skills program, the HUG Gala opens the doors for a celebration of these accomplishments and offers the community a chance to support and contribute to the diverse talents and programs of OSBI participants to further advance programs and empower individuals,” One Step Beyond CEO Madison Blanton stated in a press release.

The HUG Gala is black tie optional and will kick off with a cocktail hour from 7 to 8 before attendees enjoy dinner and a program featuring a silent and live auction and performances from OSBI participants. Catering services are provided by the One Step Beyond Catering Program.

The gala honors One Step Beyond’s participants and their achievements as well as advocates who are  challenging the misconceptions and stigmas surrounding disabilities. Scottsdale resident Anna Sepic of LevRose and Scottsdale resident Tyler Smith of Kidder Mathews will receive the annual HUG Award in recognition of the  impact they have made on the lives of people with intellectual disability.

Purchase individual tickets or table admission packages at osbi.org/gala. Individual tickets are available for $225 per person and a table of 10 is available for $2,250. Tickets include admission, access to the live auction, cocktail hour and plated dinner.

Individuals or businesses interested in sponsoring this event, should contact Blanton at madisonblanton@osbi.org. For information, tickets, or to support with a donation, visit www.osbi.org/donate.
