Eaves: Why Jeanne Beasley is the right choice for Scottsdale School Board

Posted

As a senior owner of a trusted law firm, I know the importance of strong leadership. I’m honored to have been named a Super Lawyer and one of the Best Lawyers in America for my work representing physicians, hospitals and government entities in Arizona. I also collaborate with elected leaders on public policy matters affecting Arizonans.

Additionally, I understand the value of education not only for Arizona families, but to the state's growing biomedical and semiconductor sectors. Personally, I have a vested interest in Scottsdale Unified School District, with one child having graduated and another currently attending an SUSD school.

Arizona families now have unprecedented educational options, so for public schools to thrive, we need leaders who understand that public education is just one option in a competitive landscape.

I have had the privilege of working with SUSD school board candidate Jeanne Beasley for nearly 20 years. She is a sharp thinker, talented planner and strategist who consistently demonstrates honesty, intelligence and dedication. I trust Jeanne to navigate complex legal, medical, and constitutional matters, and she always delivers results. She understands the importance of knowing the market and implementing effective procedures and technologies. Jeanne will utilize those same skills when it comes to making sure that SUSD is led in a direction which makes the district an appealing option in a competitive market.

Jeanne Beasley is committed to resisting efforts to turn Arizona’s public schools into platforms for advancing personal and political agendas. If SUSD is to remain relevant, its leaders must prioritize the needs of students, families, and the state, rather than personal agendas and pet issues.

Join me in voting for Jeanne Beasley for the Scottsdale Unified Governing Board, along with Gretchen Jacobs and Drew Hassler.
