Special to Independent Newsmedia/Arianna Grainey
The town of Queen Creek will be hosting the QC Splash Pad Party on Friday at Mansel Carter Oasis Park.

It’s a big night for families and teens in Queen Creek Friday.
As part of its celebration of Parks & Recreation month, the town will be holding its QC Splash Pad Party.
The party takes place from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mansel Carter Oasis Park, 19535 E. Appleby Road.
The community is invited to join the Parks and Recreation team at the slash pad for a night of splashing, music and fun. Admission is free and refreshments will be available for purchase through onsite food trucks.
Also on Friday, the town is hosting a second pop-up teen event.
"LINK at the Annex" runs from 6-8 p.m. at the Queen Creek Recreation Annex, 21802 S. Ellsworth Road.
Just for teens, the pop-up event provides them with a place to hang out, have some snacks and drinks, play lawn games, watch TV and listen to music. There will also be gaming setups.
The final summer teen party will take place on Friday, July 19.
Meanwhile, teens in Queen Creek still have time to sign up for the Mayor's Teen Advisory Committee.
The committee provides teens with an opportunity to have their voices heard on the issues that are important to them. The program will launch in the fall.
The deadline to apply is Monday, July 22. The application can be filled out at QueenCreekAZ.gov/Teens.
