Gear up for Queen Creek's Founders’ Day

Founders’ Day in Queen Creek is coming up soon and  residents can now buy wristbands and ax-throwing vouchers at early bird prices.

The annual celebration of the spirit of Queen Creek takes place from 5 to 9 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 21 at Founders’ Park, 22407 S. Ellsworth Road. 

Wristbands and ax-throwing vouchers are available now through Thursday, Sept. 12. The wristbands cost $12.50 and give wearers access to all participant relays and inflatable attractions. The wristbands will be available for purchase at the event for $15. Vouchers for ax throwing cost $5 for five throws.

The vouchers and wristbands can be purchased online at QueenCreekAZ.gov/RecRegistration and in-person at the Recreation Annex, 21802 S. Ellsworth Road. The items can be picked up at the Recreation Annex Sept. 16-20. They can also be picked up at the ticket booth on the day of the event.

The event will include activities, food, entertainment, and the featured activity, Battle of the Badges. Nominal fees will apply to select activities. Information: QueenCreekAZ.gov/FoundersDay.
