Scenic Arizona: 10 quail strolling along a back fence


The Daily Independent at is publishing submitted photos that highlight the community and showcase Arizona’s beauty.

Readers are invited to submit scenic pictures of desert landscapes, wildlife and prominent landmarks in their city to be used in our hyperlocal publications and/or the daily newspaper.

Submitted photos must be digital in jpeg format, 300-500 dpi and at least 10.5 inches wide by 8 inches tall. They should also include the photographer’s name, residence and a photo description.

Submit photos via email as an attachment to and note the subject “scenic.”

In addition, the Daily Independent at is accepting submissions for its 2022 Scenic Arizona calendar. These should also be sent to, with the subject “calendar.”

By submitting a photo, the photographer gives Independent Newsmedia legal rights to publish the picture without royalties. Photographers will be identified by name and city in the calendar and professional photographers will receive complimentary publicity of their website. Please include a description of the picture/landmark taken in Arizona.
