Queen Creek Chamber opens nominations for biz awards

The Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for Business of the Year, Emerging Business of the Year, Educator of the Year and Volunteer of the Year for its the 15th annual Business Awards Dinner.

The dinner will take place on Thursday, Sept. 26, at Encanterra Country Club, 36460 N. Encanterra Drive, San Tan Valley.

Business of the Year recognizes a chamber member that has been in business more than three years, “provides excellence in customer service, has experienced progressive sales/marketing growth, provides innovative products or services, community volunteerism, and/or demonstrates economic support of the Queen Creek area business community,” a chamber press release stated.

Emerging Business of the Year recognizes a chamber member that has been in business less than three years, “provides excellence in customer service, provides innovative products or services, community volunteerism, and/or demonstrates economic support of the Queen Creek area business community.” 

Educator of the Year recognizes an individual who is “dedicated, inspiring, and is making a difference in the lives of local youth within the schools in Queen Creek,” the release stated. Nominees can be a teacher and/or educational support personnel.

The Volunteer of the Year recognizes a community member who has demonstrated “outstanding participation and leadership,” the release stated, adding that past awardees in the category are eligible to be nominated after two years.

To nominate a business or individual, visit https://queencreekchamber.com/business-awards-dinner/. Nominators will need to provide the individual’s name and contact information, along with a brief summary and/or specific examples of why they believe the nominee meets the criteria.

Individual tickets for the awards ceremony will go on sale in July
