Troopers seize nearly 200 pounds of drugs, weapons in Phoenix area

Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers recently seized fentanyl, meth and heroin over six hours in the Phoenix area, DPS officials announced Tuesday.

The seizures, which took place during three separate busts, occurred on March 27, netting about 28.85 pounds of fentanyl pills, 165 pounds of methamphetamine, 2 pounds of heroin and more than 1pound of cocaine, according to a release.

In addition, five firearms, four vehicles and $20,000 were recovered.

Six people were arrested and are facing state and federal charges, authorities said.
