Tempe-based Sun State Builders broke ground on two new industrial office projects – one in Glendale and one in Phoenix during September.
The design-build general contractor company also finished construction on a new warehouse office space at the Deer Valley Technology Park in North Phoenix.
Construction is under way in Glendale on a ground-up build for WorkBay, a company that provides flexible workspace for small businesses. This complex of five buildings totaling 80,082 square feet is at 7915 N Harbor Blvd., near Northern and 99th avenues.
The buildings will be divided into separate, smaller spaces and offered for lease for industrial, warehouse or business use. Construction should end in September 2025.
Cohen Asset Management, a private real estate investment firm headquartered in Los Angeles, contracted Sun State to construct its 33,450-square-foot office suite and air conditioned warehouse project west of Sky Harbor International Airport. The building is a ground-up tilt panel construction that is targeted for completion in July 2025. The building will include a spec office suite and air conditioned warehouse.
Sun State Builders recently completed construction on a 43,672-square-foot building for Hopewell Development. Construction began on the masonry ground-up spec project in January. It is a warehouse with 24-foot ceiling heights and an office suite now available for lease at the Deer Valley Technology Park at 2908 W. Deer Valley Road.
“We continue to see demand for ground-up builds for office and industrial space and we are working with clients from all over the U.S. investing in the Greater Phoenix Area,” stated Mike Forst, CEO of Sun State Builders, in a press release.
Sun State Builders is headquartered at 1050 W. Washington St., Suite 214, Tempe. The contractor was founded in 1973 by Jim Chamberlain.
