A 28-year-old woman died at a hospital Saturday after the motorcycle she was operating was hit by a vehicle near 32nd Street and Thomas Road, Phoenix police said.
Officers responded to the collision about 2:30 p.m. Sept. 21 and found Janae Levine with serious injuries. She died at a hospital, police said.
Detectives took over the investigation and said preliminary information suggests the vehicle involved was westbound on Thomas Road and making a left turn when it struck Levine on her motorcycle as she was traveling east on Thomas Road.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.
The investigation is continuing, and charging decisions will be made once an accident reconstruction process is complete, police said.
