INDEPENDENT NEWSMEDIA
Phoenix police found and interviewed a suspect Tuesday in an April 1 fatal stabbing and released him after he said he acted in self-defense.
Jimmy McGilberry, 24, was found near 27th Avenue and Colter Street a day after police said he was the suspect in the stabbing of his brother, Tahj Duke McGilberry, 34.
Police said he was released following the interview during which he said he was defending himself in a fight with his brother.
A charging decision will be made at the conclusion of the investigation, police said.
