Man dies in single-vehicle central Phoenix crash

A man died Monday morning in a rollover crash that occurred near 7th Street and Meadowbrook Avenue, Phoenix police said.

The crash occurred about 11:50 p.m. April 8 when Maxwell Murray, 31, was driving in the 4500 block of North 7th Street at a high rate of speed, police said of preliminary information provided by detectives.

He lost control of the vehicle and hit a curb, causing the rollover.

Murray was trapped in the vehicle and extricated. He died at the scene, police said.

An investigation continues.
