Valley residents are encouraged to drop off items for recycling at an upcoming Phoenix event.
Keep Phoenix Beautiful, a nonprofit affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, will host a drive from 7 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Jan. 6 at Christown Spectrum Mall, 1607 W. Bethany Home Road. Guests should enter off Montebello Avenue for the event taking place east of Target.
Shredded onsite until the truck is full. All other documents will be securely shredded at Security Data Destruction.
Monetary donations are accepted by Keep Phoenix Beautiful for additional boxes.
Items not accepted:
CRT monitors and CRT televisions cannot be recycled here
Batteries and light bulbs
Prescription drugs
Hazardous waste (oil, paint, chemicals, etc.)

In 2022-2023, Keep Phoenix Beautiful had a record year with nearly 2,700 cars coming through to drop off 209,000 pounds (or 104 tons) of materials diverted from the landfill, according to its website.
