Art exhibit, ‘Melting,’ in Phoenix inspired by summer heat

A Phoenix hotel will be exhibiting works of local artists’ interpretations of a Valley summer.

FOUND:RE Contemporary and FOUND:RE Phoenix Hotel will present the aptly titled “Melting” from Friday, July 19 through Sunday, Oct. 13. The hotel is located at 1100 N. Central Ave.

The exhibition debuts with an artists’ reception from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 19.

The gallery will feature local artists exploring the theme of “melting” through a range of mediums, in both 2D and 3D applications.

Artists represented in the exhibition on display in the studio space at FOUND:RE Phoenix include Jared Aubel, Damon Campbell, Jennifer Caldwell and Jason Chakravarty, Hannah Cisneros, Talia Dudley, Gracie Elliott, Nick Erickson, Allie Giambalvo, Reed Hearne, Regan Henley, Jackson Kloog, Chuck LaVoie, Ariel Lee Fan, Rebecca Mancia, Stephanie Moland, Rachel Peach, Bill Pliske, Nicole Poppell, Andrea Pro, Grace Rhyne, Michelle Rykalsky, Audrey Waner, Ben Willis, and Alexandra Yirak.

The exhibition is presented as part of FOUND:RE Contemporary’s regular schedule of rotating exhibitions organized by curators Jordan Zurn and DeKayshia Sullivan. Featured works will be for sale in person and at foundrecontemporary.com.
