Phoenix-based financial services firm MJ Companies raised money to host families supported by Valley of the Sun United Way for a day of fun at the Phoenix Zoo.
In partnership with Valley of the Sun United Way and Phoenix Zoo, the MJ Foundation raised more than $45,000, a portion of which was used to host almost 550 guests at the zoo to enjoy the animals and time with family.
The rest of the funds raised will be used to award grants and support local organizations in alignment with the four cornerstones of the MJ Foundation mission: overcoming poverty, advancing education, fostering diversity, and embracing humanity, a press release notes.
“Being able to provide these families with a fun-filled day — there is nothing more rewarding than that,” Michael H. Bill, CEO of The MJ Companies and MJ Foundation founder, stated. “We’re grateful to be able to host a fundraiser and make an impact simultaneously, and we are incredibly thankful for partners like Phoenix Zoo and Valley of the Sun United Way who share our same belief in the power of coming together as an intentional, active force for good.”
MJ Companies is located at 3900 E. Camelback Road, Suite 225, in Phoenix.
