A candidate forum will be electronically recorded in partnership between the Town of Paradise Valley and Independent Newsmedia at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 9.
The forum will be streamed through the town’s Zoom account. Following the live event, the link will be available for residents to watch.
Those seeking election in the Aug. 4 primary election are incumbents Scott Moore, Julie Pace and Mark Stanton --- and newcomer Jonathan Wainwright, who has been a longtime town volunteer. There are three seats to be filled.
Town Council members serve four-year terms, while the mayor serves a two-year term.
Leading up to the August primary, Independent Newsmedia has been providing a question-and-answer series for residents to better understand the perspectives of the four Town Council candidates. Find those articles here.
Mayor Jerry Bien-Willner is running unopposed for re-election in August as well; he was first elected to the position of mayor in 2018.
Mr. Bien-Willner will provide comments during the forum, while the council candidates will be asked a series of questions moderated by Independent Newsmedia Managing Editor Terrance Thornton.
