Paradise Valley dancer to compete in world championships

Paradise Valley resident Alston Smith is representing Team USA in the IDO World Dance Tap Championships 2024, also known as the Tap Olympics, Oct. 23-27 in Prague. Alston is the number one United States male soloist in the children’s category and will be competing for the gold against dancers from 40 countries. Alston is a sixth-grader at Phoenix Country Day School and has been dancing since he was two years old.
