Carpinelli: I strongly recommend Stanton for mayor

Posted

Mark Stanton will be a terrific mayor for the Town of Paradise Valley. During his three terms as a Paradise Valley Council member, I have seen Mark engage with others respectfully, even when parties hold differing views. His professionalism is commendable, and the positive results that consistently follow his leadership speak for themselves.

Mark knows Paradise Valley intimately. He was raised here, attended school here, and is now raising his own two children with his wife in the community. He understands the importance of maintaining one-acre zoning, prioritizing safety through our exceptional Paradise Valley Police Department, and collaborating with the Phoenix Fire Department. Mark also values the delicate balance between our resorts and the community, as well as the aesthetic integrity of the town.

Mark's extensive work experience and community involvement have fostered strong relationships with state officials and neighboring communities. These connections are essential in protecting Paradise Valley from unfavorable state laws or decisions made in neighboring municipalities that could negatively affect our town.

Mark’s work experience includes his current role as the CEO of the Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce. This position allows him the unique opportunity to work every day with business leaders and elected officials, giving him immediate knowledge when an issue arises. Mark has previously served as the deputy director of State Tourism for eight years, as the chief of staff for County Supervisor Andy Kunasek, and he has served on the Paradise Valley Council for the past 10 years, including being twice elected by the council to serve as vice mayor.

Mark’s experience makes him uniquely qualified to act swiftly and professionally to preserve the unique character of our community. I strongly recommend Mark Stanton as the next mayor of the Town of Paradise Valley.
