Loma Linda Community Center has veteran art classes

Posted

What’s Happen’n Art Movement is hosting a “Veteran Art: A Path to Healing” program, on Monday, Sept. 16 at the Loma Linda Community Center at 420 E Loma Linda Blvd.

This free event offers veterans the chance to engage in artistic activities such as drawing, clay sculpture, and metal art. The program provides four hours of art instruction where veterans will also be served lunch. All necessary art supplies are provided at no cost.

Although the event is free, veterans are encouraged to register in advance to help WHAM plan for class size and space requirements and to bring military ID to their first class.

The Veterans Art classes are held monthly, scheduled for the third Monday of each month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

WHAM Art Association is an organization focused on making the arts accessible to diverse communities throughout the West Valley. Their mission includes providing innovative art programming and support for various under-served populations like veterans with PTSD, people with disabilities, at risk teens, patients with alzheimer’s and survivors of sex trafficking.
