Glendale chamber leads workforce forum this month

The Glendale Chamber of Commerce plays host a breakfast forum, “Education and Workforce Readiness Now and For the Future,” from 7-10 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25 at Arizona Broadway Theatre, 7701 W. Paradise Lane, Peoria

This forum, planned by the chamber’s education committee, will feature five superintendents from local elementary and high schools and some of their closest business partners.

Attendees will get a look at the partnerships education has with local businesses.

"I am personally excited and immensely proud of the innovative work our partners are doing to create a seamless pipeline for talented, skilled, and credentialed individuals into our local economy. This event exemplifies our Chamber's mission to cultivate a vibrant and thriving economy by bridging the gap between educational institutions and the dynamic needs of our workforce," stated Joshua Gunn, President and CEO of the Glendale Chamber., in a press release.

Superintendents participating in the forum are:

  • Jennifer Cruz, Pendergast Elementary School District.
  • Cindy Segotta-Jones, Glendale Elementary School District.
  • KC Somers, Peoria Unified School District.
  • Brian Capistran, Glendale Union High School District.
  • Scott Spurgeon, West-MEC.
