Foothills center in Glendale embraces Halloween theme

A  series of Halloween fun will creep into the Foothills Recreation and Aquatics Center at 5600 W. Union Hills Drive, Glendale in October.

Three evenings with activities for all ages offer an opportunity to dress up in your favorite costume and take in creativity, fun and a little Halloween magic. Events are:

  •  Pumpkin Paint Night is from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9. Admission is $5 per participant (for ages 3 and up). Children under 3 participate for free. Bring a pumpkin and create a masterpiece. The city will provide paint and brushes.
  • Arts & Crafts Night is from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17. Admission is $5 per per child. (Ages 3-12) Unleash the inner artist, dress up in a Halloween costume and join Glendale for a festive craft project, paired with fall-themed snacks. Parental supervision is required for all participants.
  • Family Movie Night is from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26. The movie starts at 6:15. Admission is $5 per person (ages 4+). Children under 3 enter for free. Get cozy to watch the Halloween classic, "The Nightmare Before Christmas." Bring blankets, camping chairs and snacks to enjoy this movie night. Free popcorn will be provided, and doors open at 5:30.
