The Gilbert Chamber of Commerce is partnering with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation to host the Gilbert Civics Bee, a first-of-its-kind civics competition March 26 that encourages young Americans to engage in civics and contribute to their communities.

Participating sixth, seventh and eighth graders will flex their civics knowledge for a chance to win recognition and cash prizes.

The event will be held from 6-8 p.m. March 26 at the Mesa Arts Center, 1 E. Main St., Mesa. It is free to attend.

Finalists will be invited to Washington D.C. to compete in the inaugural National Civics Bee national championship in fall 2024.
