Canadian manufacturer expands operations in U.S. with new Gilbert location

Posted

Expertec, a provider of vehicle upfitting solutions based in Canada, has announced its expansion to Gilbert aligned with its acquisition of Work Truck Solutions, a company in the Greater Phoenix area.

The 6,000-square-foot Gilbert facility will be located in the new employment industrial development located on the northwest corner of Power Road and Elliot Road.

Expertec chose to open its first U.S. location in Gilbert after considering many other cities in the western U.S. and evaluating economic and social factors in each region, according to a release from the town and the Greater Phoenix Economic Council.

Ultimately, the strong support from key vendors and the strategic advantages of Greater Phoenix made it the optimal choice for Expertec’s expansion, according to the release

“I know Gilbert and this region remain committed to supporting strategic business alignments with Expertec serving as the latest addition to our expanding manufacturing industry,” Gilbert Mayor Brigette Peterson said in the release.

Effective immediately, Work Truck Solutions, a former customer of Expertec, will be rebranded and operate under the Expertec name in Gilbert. This rebranding aims to ensure a seamless transition for customers and to unify the brand under a single, strong identity, according to the release.

“This acquisition represents a significant step forward in Expertec’s growth strategy,” Expertec Managing Director Wes Bond said in the release. “By integrating Work Truck Solutions into the Expertec family, we are not only expanding our footprint in the U.S. market but also enhancing our ability to provide better service to our existing U.S. customers."

This acquisition and expansion not only solidifies Expertec’s standing in the North American market but also positions it as one of the few companies capable of fully servicing multinational clients.

Customers can expect a broader range of services and fficient lead times, according to the release.

“With Expertec entering Greater Phoenix and establishing its first U.S. location, companies will have access to greater efficiency, functionality and style in their fleets,” Greater Phoenix Economic Council President & CEO Chris Camacho said in the release. “The Canadian leader is a welcome addition to a region that offers excellent connectivity to the western United States and Mexico, and a booming industry base that perfectly complements the company’s innovative upfitting solutions.”
