Upcoming Hunt Highway project to cause delays in Florence

Posted

Drivers in Florence can expect delays during a road project scheduled for next week on Hunt Highway.

Starting at 8:30 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 14, a one-day road maintenance project will take place on the Hunt Highway curve west of Attaway Road.

Throughout the day, 14 locations along the curve will undergo repair, resulting in lane closures and delays. The project is expected to take about 10 hours to complete.

Normal traffic conditions will resume once repairs and road markings are finalized, according to a town Facebook post.

Drivers are being asked to adhere to all directions from crews and law enforcement on site, as well as drive carefully and observe flagging instructions.

“This essential maintenance project will greatly improve road conditions and ensure safer driving for everyone,” the town stated.
